Awake 02:59
Verse 1 With the gifts I have recieved I worship you with the way I live each day goes to show what I believe in with the faith that’s in my soul with all I’ll ever do I’ll write a song for you Chorus Awake! Harp and lyre I will awaken the dawn I will praise you O’lord among the nations! Awake! Harp and Lyre I will awaken the dawn I will sing of you among the peoples Verse 2 With the gifts I have recieved I worship you with my life and with my love with the way I let my light shine through my grace and through my hope through all I’ll ever do This song is for you Bridge For great is your love higher than the heavens your faithfulness reaches to the skies

Verse 1 I take a deep breath and I jump into the deep end even though I can’t remember how to swim I think I’m drowning ‘cuz it feels just like I’m falling but you’ve caught me in you arms again Pre Chorus I know someday I’ll get it right but until then all I can do is try Chorus This is the story of you and I how you died and save my soul And I ain’t perfect but you think that I’m worth it So through the thick and thin forever we’re still together Verse 2 With you every day is a new beginning and yesterday is history And I hope this song reaches all the friendless and the lonely and the least of these Pre Chorus I know I might never get it right but at least I can try Bridge I can do all things I know My strength comes from you alone Yeah I can do all things I know My strength comes from you alone

Shield 03:36
Verse 1 Here we go into battle same as any other day The fight is for life and what we choose to believe in Can they hear us now? We will show them how We’re not afraid to believe in him Chorus He is our shield He is our strength We will hold our heads up high for all the world to see King of all kings His mercy reigns A fortress of salvation is he He is our shield Verse 2 We’ve been made martyrs been accused of crimes we haven’t committed Beaten up, locked away, but they can’t stifle the flame Can they hear us now? We will show them how We’re not afraid to believe in him Bridge Break down the walls he conquers all in the end Break down the walls he conquers all in the end

Verse 1 They walked away they walked away don’t you remember Am I on my own on my own What Just happened Did the forget? Did they forget That I was left behind? Pre Chorus And through the pain and madness through the storm and sadness I’ll try to say Chorus I’m never all alone never on my own You’re walkin right beside watchin’ every step, every step I take and every breath I breathe who am I to think that for a moment you would leave You’re Watchin’ Over me Verse 2 Now I’m here now I’m here feelin’ unsure I’m lookin’ up, lookin’ up, wonderin’ What happens next? What happens next? What’s My next move? Bridge Wherever I go that’s where you’ll be you'll be there watchin’ me

about

The summer of 2012, my piano teacher/producer, Eric Barfield, asked me if I would be interested in creating an album with the songs I had written. This was an amazing learning experience and I got to really understand and appreciate how albums (even small ones) are made.

One thing I really enjoyed was sharing part of this with my good friend, Lucy Grimshaw, who helped record my song “Shield.” Andrea Andres from “Me and You Arts” created the album art and it turned out even better than I imagined.

The songs in this album are all very personal to me, each in their own way. Over the past few years I have been learning a lot about myself, God, and my relationship with Him. I truly believe that I am stronger now than I was before this journey began.

I was, and am still, Becoming Me.
